We are located in Portland's Inner East side, just do the north of the Hawthorne Bridge, at 1301 SE Grand Avenue. Grand Avenue is also Highway 99E, and is a one-way, northbound street. The cross street to the north of the museum is Main. To the south, it is Madison. A parking lot is adjacent, and is available for the use of visitors.

Addresses in Portland are easy to find. our street number (1301) means we're 13 blocks south of Burnside, and that the number is odd means we're on the west side of the street. Grand Avenue is five blocks east of the Willamette river.

Several busses stop within a few blocks of the museum. Your choices are many. Check Tri-Met for schedules.

FROM DOWNTOWN: Buses number 4 and 10 stop at the corner of Hawthorne & 7th. From there, we're one and a half blocks north, and one west Bus number 6 from downtown stops just across the street from our front door.

FROM THE NORTH : Bus 6 travels southbound and stops along the ramp to the Hawthorne Bridge. From there, we're one block north and half a block east.

FROM THE SOUTH: Buses number 31, 32, 33, and 41 stops at SE Mill, five blocks south of the museum.

BY MAX: Depart the MAX train at the Convention Center stop. Bus #6 stops on the corner, on MLK Jr. Blvd. See "from the north" for further directions.

FROM DOWNTOWN: Cross the Hawthorne Bridge, and turn north (left) at the first light, onto Grand Avenue. We're on the left, in the first block past the bridge.

FROM THE NORTH: From I-5 Southbound, follow the exit signs for OMSI, which will put you onto MLK Blvd., southbound. Continue south to the light at Clay Street (at the Burger King), turn left, and turn left again at the next block onto Grand Avenue. We're two blocks north from there, on the left.

FROM THE SOUTH: From I-5 Northbound, follow the exits for OMSI, which will deposit you onto Water Avenue. Turn south on Water, and go 5 blocks to Clay Street. Turn left (east), and go 4 blocks east to Grand Avenue. Turn left on Grand Avenue, and we're two blocks north, on the left.

From McLoughlin, northbound, continue until the street changes to Grand Avenue. Once you leave the viaduct, we're seven blocks north, on the left, just past the onramp to the Hawthorne bridge.

FROM THE EAST: Follow Hawthorne Avenue westbound, until you reach Grand Avenue. Turn north (right) onto Grand, and swing to the left. We're in the first block, on the left.
